Each member of The Blaze 4 (formerly Slick Rick and the Blaze) all have a variety of musical influences which account for their wide spectrum of styles. With a blend of R&B, funk, reggae, and blues, I would say the common denominator is Funk.  All heavily funk influenced from an early age,  dancing comes natural when you hear this band.

Slick Rick; Keys/bass synthesizer/vocals/Rick started playing music as a child, and has performed all over the country ,   Canada, and parts of Europe as a member of a group and as a solo artist. he has performed with legendary artist BB King, James Brown, and Chaka Khan.

JT: Drums/Vocals/ Influenced by an older brother, JT learned to love music early in life and taught himself to play drums and bass guitar .Influences include Parlament/Funkadelic, and James Brown.

Ziggy: Guitars/keys/vocals/ Ziggy grew up in a musical family and picked up piano and guitar very early. the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Prince were heard everyday( in the house because of his parents), and influences like Bob Marley, Sam Cooke, and Otis Redding add to his own creative way of playing.

Saxaphonist “Hundred Dollar Bill” Greene adds much flavor to the mix with his jazz licks and soulful melodies.
